Welcome to my new blog!

If you landed on here, you have either found my old blog and followed the directions :)  or you just stumbled upon me.  Either way, welcome!

I am trying to streamline all my bits and pieces of old websites, blogs, flickr postings under one big umbrella, making my life a bit easier and less confused (and yours too I hope).

Feel free to leave some pleasant, uplifting or useful comments.  I don't do bad ones, negative ones or right out rude ones. There is not enough time in the day for those.

I have been working on new pieces, trying out new ideas and preparing materials for a tutorial.. more about that in a few days.

And I have of course found a new way to wake up my muse in the morning:  a Pinterest... as if Flickr and Google images where not giving me enough of that already.  Inspiration on a global scale!

Now, enough blabla.. My Etsy shop and new website (adapted old one) will be up by Wednesday.  Flickr and Facebook page to follow.

"I'll be back"

Oh, yes... and I have not gotten around adding my favourite blogs on here again, so let me know if you want to be on here :)

Taking things down a few notches :(

Just as I was hoping to do ALL sorts of fun stuff, I had a reminder that I am not yet having the energy required to take on multiple tasks.  So I had to decide between making goodies at a moderated pace and focus on the selling aspect of the business... OR focus on doing courses here and there and everywhere in between.  I am sorry to say but the courses have lost.

I LOVE sharing my passion for Polymer clay and I certainly love the happy faces when my students realise they too can make the most beautiful things once they know the tricks of the trade.. but..  teaching takes too much energy out of me and I am obviously not ready for it, as yet.

So, huge apologies to the people who were interested and keen to start the courses.

And so.. to the clay table I went :

some pink triangular stuff

some pink round stuff

some vibrant green Stroppel stuff

and some stripey round stuff

See you next time :)

and a Happy New Year !

First of all, I want to wish everyone a wonderfully creative New Year with a good health and lots of happiness.

Despite my best intentions to post more regularly on my blog, powercuts, storms and other things have gotten in the way :(

January is a buzzy month in "Casa Pellow":  courses to prepare, canes to make, pictures to take, items to post... All of this while not trying to be too distracted by the wonderful new creations of fellow artists all over the world.
I learned about the "Sutton Slice" from Lisa Pavelka's book and this is my first attempt:

I also made some canes which you can purchase at www.polymerclay.co.uk :

And a few retro canes as well.  There are more canes on the website.

I will be posting the lay-out of my courses in the next few days, so watch this space!

Back to my "to-do" list now...
Chris
