52 Earrings in a year!

I did it !!!  I finally subscribed to this challenge!  Yeah... As if I needed something "else" to do :)

This challenge was started by Anke Humpert from Anart Island Studios and what a following she has got!
In only a few weeks time 129 creative souls joined up, making the most gorgeous earrings.. leaving me totally inspired.  So yesterday, I became nr. 130... and today I started with a simple set of earrings.

This was today's process:

I had some Stroppel Cane lying about which I had
not yet used and figured that this would be a neat pattern.

A few slices on a back sheet.

Making it a bit more quirky.

This one asks for a bit of texturing.
So I cut out some smaller shapes....

and a few larger ones...

And before I knew it, I had 2 sets of simple earrings, a pendant, a small "ring" bowl, and a neck piece for a project I am working on.. and nothing of that small cane left :)

If you like to see what everyone has been up to so far, have a look at the Flickr album.
As I should have a bit more time this week, I intend to make some more intrensic shapes and colours..

Watch this space:)

Have a wonderfully creative week!
Chris

This is however creating another problem: no more scrap clay!!!!

    1. Thanks Dana! I found your blog through Teia (Claycorner)'s blog and really like the cute pouches you are making. Maybe some day you can add some funky polymer clay buttons to them.
(but be careful, playing with polymer clay is realllly addictive!) :)

    1. Thanks Pippa! I like the way the texturing changed the whole look. Common, join, the more the merrier :) I needed something like a challenge to keep my muse entertained and something/week is just the right challenge for me.
